Our Company

TP Power Services Ltd was established in 2000 by a group of electrical, design and installation engineers from the Brush and Hawker Siddeley collaboration. Initially working for large contractors on sites up to 400kV, their combined skill-set meant the business quickly developed to manage its own HV projects.

In 2003, the company moved to its current location in Wymeswold, just outside Loughborough in Leicestershire, and invested in a range of manufacturing and testing equipment to include the supply of transformers and switchgear to its services portfolio. Continued investment in facilities and equipment meant that by 2005, TP Power Services were suitably placed as a transformer manufacturer to design, build and supply 3 phase low loss distribution and power transformers up 120MVA at 132kV using our facilities in Rugby, all under the ISO9001 Quality Management System.

With this continued investment and a plethora of contacts and experience within the high voltage industry, we have accrued new clients through personnel recommendation from our existing clients and with investment in marketing paying dividends shortly after implementation in 2005.

When the company was awarded its first integrated substation project for the supply of a 33kV substation, utilising our own manufactured transformers and other manufacturers equipment.

With major investment by the Company over recent years, including the development of our new transformer test bay and transformer refurbishment facilities, TP Power Services continues to develop and improve our manufacturing and site service facilities.

This heritage means that TP Power Services is now an electrical engineering company delivering integrated solutions for high voltage substations up to 400kV within a variety of market sectors. Today, our product and services portfolio covers the entire life cycle of high voltage electrical equipment, from supply and installation to long term maintenance contracts and refurbishment solutions.

With our offices located in the Midlands and access to major transport routes, we are able to respond quickly to all our clients; who include generation companies, Oil companies, National Grid, Distribution Network Operators (DNO) and a variety of large multinational organisations operating within the UK and Europe.
