Prevention.....
T.P. Power Services offer Silica Gel and Molecular Sieve Dryers for distribution transformers with conservators up to 33kV, or a Hydran for power transformers up to 400kV. The aim of these solutions is to prevent the build up of moisture through slow absorption; reducing arcing and the subsequent potential for electrical breakdown.
.....Oil Conditioning
T.P. Power Services will arrange for a complete oil condition assessment; starting with oil sampling, testing at an approved laboratory, report analysis and consultation. We offer a complete oil filtration service on-site, ranging from simple oil filtration, up to a complete emptying and drying, or 350mbar vacuuming, of the equipment, then filtered or new oil depending on its condition.
Oil Filtration.....
We are able to offer this on-site service thanks to our fully mobile Vokes Streamline SL20 Oil Filtration System; capable of filtering 1600 litres of oil per hour. Following three filtrations, optimal levels should be at 10 parts per million for water content and 5 microns for ionisation and fibre content. Transformers up to 33kV can typically be filtered within a day, however we may use sub-contracted tankers for larger transformers to minimise down time.
