Maintenance Planning

TP Power Services complete inspections, maintenance and repairs on high voltage substation equipment from smaller private network substations at 11kV to large generation, transmission and distribution substations at 400kV. Such experience ensures we can develop and implement preventative maintenance bespoke to your installation that will offer complete peace of mind in your power assets. Our service is supported by our underlying mission to ensure the integrity of your HV network with non-invasive maintenance to identify and rectify issues before they cause equipment failure, lost production and high repair costs.

Preventative Maintenance is proven to:

Maximise Energy Efficiency

Extend power asset life cycles

Reduce long term repair costs
Minimise lost production rates

As the size, rating and age of substation equipment increases so does the complexity and requirement for regular maintenance to ensure its safe operation and protection against equipment failure. Typical maintenance generally ranges from annual inspection and testing to invasive solutions completed on a 2, 3 or 5 yearly programme. We ensure all clients receive comprehensive work programmes and records as evidence of operational integrity and reliability to suit all budgets.

Thermographic surveys are a cost effective solution for identifying potential faults within systems whilst equipment can remain energised. The complexity of this service is interpreting images against safe operating temperatures, a skill that TP Power Services have been delivering for many years. The detection of ‘hot spots’ within HV substation equipment identifies faults before a major failure occurs. This has the advantage of supporting ad-hoc invasive maintenance which in minimises unnecessary shut down of equipment and loss in production.
