Maintenance at Peterborough Power Station

 
Undertaken during scheduled outage to reduce down time, TP Power Services were contracted for the disconnection and maintenance of a 132kV transformer plus remedial works on smaller transformers.

 

Before work could even begin on site, Centrica’s exemplary CDM Health, Safety and Environmental Construction Phase Plan required detailed risk assessments, method statements and COSHH reports above industry standards.

 

The scope of work started with the disconnection of the transformer from underground cabling, and the termination of cables into oil filled bushing chambers with flexible earth links. Once disconnected and safe for refurbishment works to begin, our engineers performed a number of services:
